Worksheets
The Worksheet tab contains a spreadsheet
much like many other spreadsheet programs. You can enter data and create
mathematical functions here, as well as import and export data to other
spreadsheet programs. This functionality is useful when you are creating
spreadsheets for crew requirements, schedules, budgets, or any other show-specific
data.
To import data
- Select .
- Select the file.
- Click Open.
To export data
- Select .
- Enter the file name for your worksheet.
- Click Save.
Note: For
optimal compatibility with other WYG files, it is recommended that you
export to the WYSIWYG Spreadsheet format (*.wss).
To export a worksheet template
For large shows, you may want to save the
formatting of your worksheet as follows:
- Select .
- Enter the file name for your worksheet.
- Click Save.
To create a new worksheet
- Click the Worksheets shortcut tab.
- Right-click in the worksheets shortcut area, and
then choose .
- Type the name of your new worksheet.
- Click OK.
To insert smart cells
- In your worksheet, select a cell.
- From the menu, select .
To insert pictures
- In your worksheet, select a cell.
- From the menu, select .
- Select a photo in one of the supported formats
(*.BMP, *.JPG, *.GIF, *.TIFF, *.PNG, *.TGA).
- Click OK.
To sort data
- Select a cell block that needs to be sorted.
- From the menu, select .
Adding/removing
rows and columns
To add a row
- Select the cell above which you want to add a
row.
- From the menu, select .
To remove a row
- Select a cell in the row that you want to remove.
- From the menu, select .
To add a column
- Select a cell to the left of which you want to
add a column.
- From the menu, select .
To remove a column
- Select a cell in the column that you want to remove.
- From the menu, select .
Merging/unmerging
cells
To merge cells
- Select the block of cells that you would like
to merge.
- From the menu, select .
To unmerge cells
- Select the block of cells that you would like
to unmerge.
- From the menu, select .
Zebra striping
To enable Zebra Striping on your worksheet
- From the menu, select .
Note: Currently
there is only one set of alternating colors that you can choose.
Hiding headers
To hide the headers (the labeling of rows and columns)
From the menu, select .
Freezing panes
Freezing panes will lock a series of cells
to the top of the working area no matter how much you scroll.
To freeze panes
- Select the row below the section you want to freeze.
- From the menu, select .
Note: You
can unfreeze panes by clicking .
Formatting
cells
Each cell has a configurable Type, Border,
Alignment, Font, and Background. To access these options, select a cell
(or block of cells), and then select .
Exporting spreadsheets
data to worksheets
Information from mode
spreadsheets can be automatically exported into a new mode
worksheet. This same data can then be inserted on a Layout if needed.
To export data to worksheets
- In mode,
open the Spreadsheet tab.
- From the menu,
choose .
Result: The
Enter new Worksheet name dialog box appears.
- Enter the name for the new worksheet which the
data will be exported.
- Click OK.
Result: The
data is exported to mode into a new
worksheet.
