Connecting to an RTTrPM device
WYSIWYG contains drivers that enable you
to “listen” to incoming RTTrPM data when connected to the updated RTTrPM
network device in LIVE mode.
To connect to an RTTrPM device
- Run WYSIWYG and start a new file.
- Insert a venue, BlackTrax Trackables or Zones.
- Insert and attach objects to your BlackTrax Trackables
or Zones.
- Patch the BlackTrax Trackables or Zones to Motion
Patch Universes. See Quick
Motion Patch Tool.
- Switch to LIVE
mode.
- From the menu,
choose .
Result: The
Application Options window appears.
- In the Application Options window,
click Additional Interfaces.
- From the Local Address drop-down
list in the RTTrPM Interface section of the Additional
Interfaces tab, select the IP address from which the incoming
RTTrPM device data is being received by your computer.
- In the Group Address box
type the IP address from group data transmissions.
- In the Port box
type the port number used by the RTTrPM device connection.
- Click OK.
Result: A
dialog box appears prompting to open the Device
Manager, disconnect and reconnect for the change to take effect.
- Click OK to
close the dialog box and the Application Options
window.
- From the menu,
choose .
Result: The
Device Manager window appears.
- In the Device Manager window,
click New.
Result: The
Library Selection window appears.
- In the Library Selection
window, search for RTTrPM (note spelling).
- Select the single search result and click Insert.
- With RTTrPM selected in the device list, click
Properties.
- Bind the Universes you created to the incoming
RTTrPM ports.
- When the binding is complete, click OK.
- In the Device Manager window,
with RTTrPM selected in the device list, click Connect.
- Close the Device Manager
window.
Result: You
are now connected and WYSIWYG will begin reacting to incoming RTTrPM data.
